A Little History

Rita Randolph is a life-long horticulturist, photographer and published author. She wrote the Fine Gardening ‘Container Gardening’ Special Issue in 2009.

Along with her husband, she owned Randolph’s Greenhouses for 35 years, started by her parents almost 70 yrs ago. Rita is now concentrating on Rita’s Rare Plants, subcontracting. She now spends much of her time consulting, writing and traveling.

Her presentations are enjoyed across the country, as she enthusiastically shares her knowledge and creative arrangements.

 She has presented to botanical gardens, horticultural societies, industry shows and Master Gardener Conferences for many years and was recently presented The Sterling Award, one of the top 20 influential women in West Tennessee for her educational works.

What I Do

Rita specializes in custom work, container gardens, hanging garden baskets, and unusual plant collections such as variegated and chartreuse leaf colorations  She speaks on a number of topics including Unusual Plants and Unique Container Combinations.
